Amazing view

It was a beautiful view and had great amenities. The hot tub and sauna were very relaxing. The home needed some updates; the couch had a lot of stains and did not really feel comfortable to sit on. The drive up the mountain was very scary and there were not directions provided to the home so when we lost service it made it even more nerve racking to try and navigate the steep mountains. The drive did get a bit easier as our trip went on though so that was a plus. Overall the view was worth it all :) I am sure I will never see a view like that again in my lifetime!!

Excellent place to stay!

Easy check in process. Cabin was wonderful and very clean. Views were amazing. Highly recommend!

Honeymoon

We went for our honeymoon. If you just take a quick glance around, it’s amazing. We stayed for 4 nights. The 4th night I woke up itching so badly I could not sleep. I got up and took some Benadryl and put on some lotion. I woke up a few hours later and same thing. This time a red rash had started up my leg. We were leaving that day anyway so we packed up and headed out. As we were headed back to Missouri, my discomfort grew immensely. The itching was completely unbearable. The rash had welted and was now hot and swollen. We stopped at an emergency room on the way home. She said it was likely bed bug bites. After a few days, it only got worse. I went to an urgent care as well. He said it was likely a bacterial infection from the hot tub or jacuzzi tub. I would very believe that as they were both dirty when we arrived. The hot tub foam was brownish gray and left a film on our skin. We had to clean the jacuzzi tub ourselves when we arrived before we felt comfortable using it. The house was covered in dead bugs. I did try to message the owners over a month ago about the concerns but have yet to receive a response. It took right around a month for my rash to go away. Both medical professionals told me it was likely something from the house we stayed in. Beware.

Amazing

Beautiful property with amazing views, had a blast with the hot tub, pool table, and jacuzzi tub. Close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I definitely plan on staying here again

I'm a young professional that made a trip to Gatlinburg in 2016. I fell in love with the area and started looking for a vacation home that I could share with visitors from all over. I was fortunate enough to find the Black Bear Chalet and could not believe the views from the back deck. I noticed the identical house about 75 yards away and knew I would save up for this to be my next investment as soon as it came up for sale; which it did 4 years later! I'm very fortunate to have both chalets and throughly enjoy all the stories of visitors celebrating anniversaries, honeymoons, "a much needed relaxing vacation", and many other memories!

The VIEWS! Perched at the top of the Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort you can see for miles and miles. It's such a special place and a lovely little bit of serenity.

Just minutes away from Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort, and a short drive to downtown Gatlinburg. Down the road from Gatlinburg is Pigeon Forge, a resort town with just about any activity you can imagine, including Dollywood Theme Park. The previous owners said one of the reasons they always loved it so much is it's the only place they had found that is minutes from Gatlinburg and you can see Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Lake Douglas from the balcony or the hot tub!
