Large 3-storey house with Garden inside a historic Town in South Garda lake area

Lake Garda, Italy's largest lake, has captivated visitors for over a century with its spectacular scenery - clear blue waters fringed by towering mountains and groves of olives and citrus. Explore its colorful, stylish resorts and historic lakeside towns, and enjoy all that this beautiful region has to offer.

This is a large stylish three storey house in the Lake Garda area resort, in the historical village of Lonato del Garda.
The house is central, including part of the ancient walls leading to the Visconti's Castle. Nearby you can find the best shops and supermarkets (with typical food and wines), restaurants, bakeries, pharmacies, parks.
The bus-stop to the lake is out of the door.

Ground floor: garage with two parking spaces available.
First floor: 3 bedrooms (1 double bed, 2 single beds, 1 single bed) and 2 bathrooms. No AC at the first floor. Wifi available.
Second floor: wide open space with kitchen and living room equipped with TV + Apple computer + Wifi + AC. The living room overlooks a rock garden with oleander, vines and herbs. A small laundry is next to the garden and there is a bathroom also on the second floor.

Near the highway and roads to reach both the east and the west side of the lake, Desenzano, Sirmione, Verona, Mantua, Sabbioneta, Milan, Venice. Near the countryside south of the lake well known for the Mincio river cuisine. Beautiful view from Monte Baldo at 1800 meters with the cableway from Malcesine (1 hour drive).

CONNECTIONS

Railway stations: the Lonato railway line has very few stops in one day. We suggest you to use the Desenzano del Garda train station, which has several stops that lead to many cities (it is only a 5 minute drive from the house) such as Milan, Verona, Venice, Turin, Udine, etc.

Bus stop: just outside the front door, turn left and you will see it 10 meters ahead. The buses quickly reach the major towns of Lake Garda region South (Peschiera, Sirmione, Desenzano) and also Verona.

A4 Highway: Very close to the house is the A4 Highway at Desenzano del Garda, you can reach Milan, Verona, Venice, etc. There is a lot of queue in the summer at the exit of Sirmione, Peschiera and Desenzano.

Internal parking: two parking spaces available in the garage.
Outdoor parking: under Via Borgo Clio there's a free parking accessible from Via Salmister. In the parking area there is a map of cycle paths.

The village of Lonato was lovely and typically Italian.Lake Ganda was stunning with beautifull views

The property was potentially lovely but let down by the standard of equipment The decor was tired and needed upgrading The cutlery and crockery were an eclectic mix of not good quality items The lack of a kettle and toaster or iron were inconvenient and we purchased a kettle and iron locally for 16 euros each The electrics were also a problem as they regularly tripped which entailed a walk down 3 flights of stairs in the dark to reset The owners should also consider leaving a change of bedding for longer stays as the bedding provided had to be washed and dried by us during the holiday The wi fi did not work throughout the holiday but to be fair to the owner Lorenzo and his wife they did give us a partial refund to compensate This is potentially a stunning property and a great base to explore the region and with a refurbishment and equipment upgrade would be well worth the money The owners are friendly and welcoming as are the local residents Should the improvements be carried out the owners might consider asking for a refundable deposit to ensure that tenants treated the property with care

Nettes typisches italienisches Häuschen

alles in allem ein schnuckeliges idyllisches Häuslein, sehr nette Vermieter, freundlicher Empfang (trotz unserer immensen Verspätung durch Stau), genügend Platz für 5 Personen, feine Terrasse..... was aber wirklich etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig war: wir haben erst mal die Küche geputzt...... toll was, dass wir unser Auto in die Garage stellen konnten und somit keinen Parkplatz-Stress hatten. Würden wieder da buchen

Unser Urlaub Juli 2016

Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und wurde in einem ordentlichen und sauberen Zustand übergeben. Die Zimmer sind stilvoll eingerichtet. Der vorhandene Computer und das W-LAN konnte ständig genutzt werden, wenngleich nicht immer schnelles Internet vorhanden war. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und alle Küchengeräte funktionierten. Die Klimaanlage im Wohnzimmer ging sehr gut und war bei der Wärme in diesem Jahr von Vorteil. Leider gibt es in den Schlafzimmern keine Klimaanlage. Das wäre hier auch sehr angebracht, da es auf der Straße bis weit nach Mitternacht starken Verkehr gibt und durch die enge Straße der Verkehrslärm noch lauter wirkt. Lüften war daher nachts nur bedingt möglich. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und sehr unkompliziert bei der Wohnungsübergabe und Übernahme.

The house, very spacious, provides maps of the town and region, guides of main historic cities, books of Italian interiors and design, and is decorated with traditional and conceptual works of art.
Wine tasting in a cellar in the province of Mantua on request.

Sorry no pets (for marble stairs), 5 nights minimum stay. Wireless and Apple computer with large monitor as Internet point.
All the areas of the house are available for the guests.
