Cove Cottage è un'affascinante vacanza splendidamente arredata su 2 acri di terreno boscoso che sono condivisi con Cove House (una casa di lusso con 5 camere da letto e 3 bagni). Cove Cottage può essere affittato separatamente per feste di 6 o meno o con Cove House per grandi feste fino a 16 persone. Il Cottage è situato a breve distanza dall'oceano con splendide viste sull'acqua. Confina con la conservazione della natura e aquile, volpi, cari, aironi giganti e altri animali selvatici sono spesso avvistati sulla proprietà e nelle vicine paludi protette. Esplora la bellissima costa non sviluppata attraverso una camminata verso l'oceano. La struttura si trova a breve distanza dal Parco nazionale di Acadia, da Bar Harbor e da altre attrazioni dell'isola. Ognuna delle unità ha il proprio parcheggio, ingresso, cortile paesaggistico e vista sull'oceano. Il cottage si trova a circa 70 piedi dalla casa e occupa 2 piani sopra il garage. Le scale per il secondo piano sono più ripide del normale e non sono adatte a chiunque abbia difficoltà a salire le scale.

Lovely

This is our second time staying at the Carriage house. We loved the private cove so much we decided to book again for this year. The house is perfect for a family. Full kitchen with everything needed to cook all your meals there, washer and dryer, new memory foam mattresses (a little firmer than our preference but we got used to them over time.) The real draw is the cove with it's lovely cobblestone beach, great for finding shells, sand dollars, beautiful rocks; and for paddling around to fish or watch the wildlife (deer, seabirds, osprey, even seals and porpoises swimming not too far off shore.) At low tide there are sandy areas as well, and the sunsets from the beach or from the kayaks can't be beat, for the nights you don't want to drive to a more touristy area to watch the sun set. The quiet side of the island is definitely the place to be, and a shockingly warm and sunny September week allowed for kids to swim off the cove to their hearts' content. The owners are nearby for any issues, though we did not have any. Definitely recommended if you're planning a trip to Acadia.

First Acadia Visit

We so enjoyed our visit to the Quietside. The cottage was great and the views even better. Kim, our host, was very responsive. The cottage was peaceful and perfect for our fist Acadia visit.

Cozy Carriage House

We rented this home for my parents while we stayed in the larger nearby home with our children for a fall time vacation. The home is just beautiful with a lovely balcony view of the private cove on a nature preserve. My parents thoroughly enjoyed their stay, although the stairs were a little bit steep for their liking. They also would have appreciated better lighting at night to signal where the walkway was to enter the home from the driveway since they had arrived at night. The home was warm and cozy with very comfortable beds and everything they needed. While the home is just a few steps away from the bigger house that you can rent with it, it maintains its own privacy through creative and lovely landscaping and trees between the homes. We are so glad we rented this home since we had such a large group. It was perfect and well worth it! The owners were very responsive, kind, and helpful—never intrusive. We highly recommend this home!

Lovely property - great base for nature adventures

Beautiful house with amazing landscaping on the quiet side. Perfectly appointed with all the essentials. I’ve never seen more stars on clear nights - got some great shots of the Milky Way. Wish we had more time to enjoy the beach (and loons) on the property! We got too caught up in trying to see all of Acadia — should have planned more time at the house.

A lovely place to stay on the quiet side of MDI. A ton of good hikes and bike rides to take, the house is comfortable and well appointed.
