Sweet Ocean Getaway

This is a great place. The owner and manager of this property are very responsive, helpful, and just overall nice people. The window shade in one room would not go back up and the manager came right out and fixed it. This is a cozy, sweet place, very close to an accessible beach and playground, making it perfect for a small family. The home is small but lots of windows bring in natural light and give it the feeling of openness. My husband and I are used to a king bed so the queen beds feel a bit small but they are comfortable. The living room is very comfy, with seats for everyone. There are no TV's in the bedrooms so parents that want a separate area for kids to watch a movie, it's important to know that. We enjoyed having an accessible and really beautiful beach within a five minute walk. We have stayed at Sea Ranch several times and we've never had an accessible beach so close. We have been close to the water but not a beach that you could get to and enjoy. The house looks out onto a beautiful meadow, which also adds to the feeling of spaciousness. Many Sea Ranch homes are close together and lack privacy but this house does not feel closed in or too close to other houses. The kitchen is well stocked but no condiments and just a few spices, so if you want to cook you may need to bring those items. We left some spray oil for the next guests because that is a must have for cooking. Overall, it's a great deal. Thank you to the owners and manager!!

Great location for a small family

Our family had a lovely time staying at the "Lighthouse on the Meadow". The property was true to the listing - it's a cozy, but ver comfortable house with easy access to the beach, tide pools, hiking and biking trails, and views of a large meadow with a resident herd of deer. After three days, our kids (aged 5 and 7) eagerly volunteered "best vacation ever!"

Perfect Spring Get Away

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Lighthouse on the Meadow. From the deck of the house which faces the meadow we enjoyed watching and listening to the wildlife that lives in Sea Ranch. We saw a pair of fox hunting, numerous deer feeding on the Spring grasses and a large flock of turkey foraging. The raptors circled overhead and you could hear smaller birds in the trees. We had a fabulous trip and hope to one day return to the Lighthouse on the Meadow.

So Perfect!

We loved the lay out of the house! It was perfect for the two of us, and next time we hope to bring our friends, they would love it too. The layout for two couples is great! The owners are beyond fabulous! Check in was so easy as was check out! Perfect stay for a stormy weekend as we had plenty of wood to cozy up by! The open lay out also was nice for cooking awesome food in. The large windows were perfect to watch the storm and the birds over the meadow and we saw the big waves crashing too! Looking forward to our next stay! Thank you!

We have owned the sea Ranch Lighthouse for many years and loved bringing our two daughters there every summer when we lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. We now have 9 grandchildren who also love getting to the house and enjoying all that it has to offer. We all live in Colorado now and want YOU to enjoy what we have loved and enjoyed for so long.

We love our "Lighthouse"! We love the setting on the meadow. We love being able to see the sheep mowing down the grass just outside our window as the Shepherd moves them from North to South and back again all along the Ranch. We love seeing the ocean and passing Whales; the fishing, the resting on the beach and soaking in the hot tub. We love walking to Monarch Glen when the butterflies are resting there. We love the starry nights from the hot tub where our breath is taken away by the myriad of stars. We love sitting on the deck with a glass of wine and watching the hawks, the wild turkeys, the occasional fox and even the little gophers poking their heads above ground to look around.
This is a place you won't forget.

This is a "home" place where we hope you will feel relaxed and at ease with everything in it. We love dogs and have allowed them in the past but We have had some bad actors with their dogs lately and so we will no longer allow them in the house.
