The perfect luxury home in the most convenient location

This was not our first stay in the Exuma’s. As such, we already knew the area we wanted to stay. The house is settled in one of the best areas in the Exuma islands. As it is within the harbour, no matter the weather the water is always calm and safe swimming.The home is a few minutes from Jolly Hall and Hoopers Bay. It is also central island. Quick trips to the store or trips to CocoPlum or the Tropic of Cancer Beach or many other Spectacular beaches up and down the island are fairly short. The home is off a side street which gives it more privacy than many of the island highway homes. The home itself is beautiful. It’s hard not to smile as you open the door, walk through the grand living room with giant propeller fans, to the back doors and open them up to the beautiful pool, palm trees blowing in the breeze, and of course, the backdrop of the emerald green Exumas steps from the pool. The house is well stocked, which is not very common in the Exumas. It’s very spacious, clean and everything is well maintained which again is surprising considering its proximity to the ocean. Monica and the owners helped make our trip special. Monica was a wonderful host and even let us in on some local hotspots we were unaware of in our previous trips. Everywhere we went, everyone knew the house, the owners and Monica and could not speak highly enough about their care for the community and the people in it. They helped make this vacation our favourite ever. Thank you!!

Spring break family trip

We are a party of 4 and there was plenty of space - very comfortable. Beautiful home in a great location close to stores and points of interest. Host was fantastic helping with local contacts and recommendations. We would go back!

Great Location/Layout

This house is beautiful on the inside very spacious, good layout. The house is in rough shape however, the windows are all screwed shut, very disappointing not to be able to hear the ocean right out front, the pool was freezing and not in good shape so we couldn't use it and the furniture inside was not comfy. The exterior patio furniture was amazing and the views were spectacular. The location was excellent and the host Monica was the best ever. Super helpful with where to snorkel, eat, she even helped us with a car rental. Monica was simply the best.

We had the best time!

Beautiful home and very spacious. Our family of 5 had more room than we needed. The home is laid out well and we enjoyed the patio furniture and pool. What an epic place to have coffee every morning. The location of home is close to the market and several good restaurants. Grateful to Monica for meeting us at airport to make sure we found the home and gave us tour of home to make sure it everything was perfect. We rented a boat from Minns for 2 days and also did the full day excursion to Swimming Pigs with Exuma Water Sports. It was a day my kids will never forget!

Ideal spot in Exuma

This was our first trip to Exuma but researched a lot before booking Sundancer. Sundancer was in an ideal location for our party of six. Close to grocery & liquor stores as well as several grills/bars while staying out of the fray of George Town. The layout of the house is perfect for plenty of family time or separate quiet time when needed. We found the house well stocked and plenty nice. The view from the main living area or back deck is hard to beat. The kitchen is adequate for any meal you'd like to prepare. Though there is an older outdoor cooktop, there is no BBQ (just fyi). The master bath is large. The private beach was amazing though a bit more rocky than we expected. Sand depends on the tide, but we found it extremely inviting. We spent several days snorkeling and simply floating without having to leave. The water in Exuma is as clear as I have ever experienced and you feel as though you could easily float over to Stocking Island. Plenty to see right off the deck. The pool was a nice feature also. In general, Sundancer is a beautiful old home with plenty of luxury while showing typical wear observed in beach rentals. Aside from the home, dealing with Monica was fantastic. She made our experience easy. A true gem! Island wise, we were surprised by the roads and the friendliness of the people. Both were a bit rougher than expected. Not everyone of course. Be prepared for rolling black outs as well. Island life I guess. Would book again certainly. Enjoy!

We first came to great Exuma in the early 90's. We were part of the cruising community, living at anchor in Elizabeth Harbour. Thirty years and many happy memories later we live in our beautiful home on the harbour. We watch the boats sailing by and know there are yet again another group of happy cruisers experiencing the life they've dreamed of. It is now a reality!

Location, location, location!! To be sitting in our protected porch with a cold drink watching the boats drift by is wonderful. We see kayakers, marine life, turtles and dolphins. Knowing just a few hundred yards out we can snorkel to see a variety of tropical fish. Life is easy, and oh so good!

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

Nothing is far away, grocery stores just a mile or two on both sides of us, even a wonderful butcher shop. The small town of George Town is two miles from our house. The water taxi and marina are both found in the centre of town. The small library is open mornings and run by volunteers, always a friendly face to greet you. Mixing with the locals is wonderful, they are friendly and kind. We feel totally at home in Great Exuma and you will too!
