Good value, great location, ,easy going host, few maintenance lapses

Overall impression is positive. The place has a great location in central London near the financial district. Easy walk to River Themes and lots of other action. Underground station is a short walk and from there you can get anywhere you want in London. The flat is in an old building that has been renovated - about 20 years ago- and has all the amenities. It is very modern and has a good feel. It has great Wi-Fi and TV. It would be very comfortable for two couples, or a family of 4, but unless you are very cozy, I wouldn't recommend more. It is advertised for up to 6 people.

On the negative side, not certain if all sheets and covers were washed - one of the people in our party made a comment about the fact that the sheet seemed to have been slept in. There were also minor maintenance gaps which wouldn't be a big deal for most - the base of the bath tub had openings as if someone didn't finish the job of installing it. The radiators in the bedroom didn't work, but we managed with covers and leaving doors open.

Overall, it was a great value.

A wonderful stay!

We stayed at Globe View with our two young boys (4 and 1) for 6 days for a vacation and had a wonderful time! The flat was located well, within walking distance of Blackfriars Station for when we came from the airport, and close to Mansion House underground for when we needed to get around London. We were able to walk across Millenium Bridge and see some of the Christmas market, which was fun too! The flat has comfortable seating and beds, is cozy, quiet, and perfect for a family, business trip (it's close to London City) or a group. We were especially grateful for several travel plug converters as we had forgot to pack ours! We had a pleasant stay and had no issues.

Modern. spacious, clean, quiet, flat in central London (City) location

We had a good experience with this flat. Modern, spacious, clean and quiet, this flat is well equipped. Comfortable beds and furniture. Everything worked. A few rough edges in the hall bathroom. Better for walkers or Tubers, as taxi arrival and departure is awkward. Few service in immediate area, but 2 - 3 blocks away is everything convenience - Pret a Manager. Marks and Spencer and Underground only 4 blocks away. Morning Concierge at front of apartment, polite and only marginally helpful. Paid for early check-in, which worked reasonably well, albeit late. Washer / Drier worked well.

Clean flat, conveniently located, comfortable, but extremely loud in the evenings and night. The weather was warm and we opened all windows at night (the window in master bedroom would only open a sliver). Due to first floor, close to street. Heard trash man and other people throughout night and early morning. Asked if they had fans to drown out noise, but response time was a few days. On departure date we passed a hardware store. We simply could have been directed to that at the beginning of the week but we weren't. If you have children, would not stay here. Kids couldn't sleep due to noise.

Want to return for a week!!

3 days was not enough! This was a beautiful stay all the way around! Not until the last evening did we explore the neighborhood of this wonderful apt! We were steps away from Millennial bridge, which means Shakespeare's Globe was just on the other side of the river directly across from the apt, and Saint Paul's Cathedral was around the corner. Also, there is this wonderful walking path along the Thames was RIGHT behind the apt. We were SO busy that we did not take time to enjoy the amenities and restaurants in our area!

My husband want to return to this 5-star apt for a week in London so that we can slow down and enjoy all that London has to offer. We scratched the surface.

John refunded our security deposit before I could even write a review.

The only downside: we wish John would have given specific instructions on how to get to the apt. There are bridges to cross, streets you are not permitted to cross, etc, but had we been given EXACT directions "left here and right there, cross this bridge, turn left, go down Timber Lane etc" we would not have dragged our luggage for one+ hour and kept the property manager waiting.

But thank you, John, for a wonderful experience. Apartments can make or break your vacation. This apt. was the finishing touch to 18 days in England!

Comfortable condo, close to many attractions and public transportation.

Just returned from a 4 night stay in London. This property was conveniently located to lots of attractions, and close to several tube stations. The condo was nicely decorated, very clean, and the bathrooms and kitchen very nice. It is on the small side, but I am sure that is common for the area. The building is nice and we liked the restaurant at the back of the building, The Pepys. The only issue was that many of the stores and businesses in the area closed early in the evening and were not open at all on the weekends. It makes sense as this is a commercial district, filled with commuters during the week day, but cleared out at night.

1) DO NOT DISTURB NEIGHBORS - They are unable to help on arrival. Instead, just call our staff that is prepared to assist you.

2) NO NOISE - Please be respectful of neighbors and the property. Keep noise down before 9:00 and after 22:00. Absolutely no parties allowed on the premises.

3) NO SMOKING - Smoking is prohibited indoors. No burning candles or incense for your own safety and safety of others near the property.

4) NO BOOKING, NO ACCESS - Do not let strangers or unauthorized maintenance workers into the apartment. We will arrange all maintenance work and inform you beforehand. This is for your own security. Emergencies are an exception.

5) KEEP DOORS CLOSED and LOCKED- Please keep front street door closed at all times especially when leaving the apartment. Also make sure to lock both locks in the apartment door- using the big chub key. This is a safe neighborhood but we would like to keep our property secure as well as your belongings.

6) DO NOT MOVE FURNITURE- Leave all furnishings and appliances where they are installed.

7) NO BICYCLES TO BE STORED IN THE APARTMENT or in the stairways in the building! This will damage the property, no matter how careful you are.
