Coastal Beach House con l'anno relax

Affitto self-catering della casa molto vicino alla spiaggia di Fins. Ampio giardino con barbecue. Casa 6 posti letto. 3 camere da letto: doppia; vacanze triple e singole tutto l'anno, ideali per un lungo weekend romantico, con splendide spiagge e la splendida catena montuosa Hajar orientale dietro la casa. Un centro meraviglioso per visitare e visitare la costa storica dell'Oman. Vedi Qalhat dove Ibn Battuta visitò o visitò la seconda grotta più grande del mondo in cima alle montagne. Fortezze, patrimonio antico e straordinarie caratteristiche geografiche. Situato tra le città costiere di Sur e Quriyat famose per i loro forti e l'industria della pesca.

Centro per visitare: Fins è al centro di un'area storica e geologicamente interessante. Forte di Quriyat, città di Sur, inghiottitoio di Bimmah, Wadi Shab con acqua e nuoto tutto l'anno, osservazione di tartarughe, gazzelle, cammelli, fantastico avifauna, stelle in abbondanza e quiete! Passeggiate in montagna nella catena montuosa dell'Hajar orientale fino a 2000m.

Sei a mezzo km dal villaggio di Fins. Rimarrai in uno dei paesaggi più immutati del mondo. È come tornare indietro di molti anni.

Very nice place to be. Had also a great communication with the owners. Very helpful nice people. Beaches are very close. Have seen lots of animal incl. Sea hares, camels, Egyptian Vultures, Arabian Gazelle

Very enjoyable stay in Fins

Just back from a long trip away with Fins in Oman being our first stop in January for 2 weeks. We know Oman quite well as tourists having visited the country 8 or 9 times since the early 90's and we have previously camped on the beach at Fins. We thought it would be nice to have a more permanent base in that area for a couple of weeks and we were not mistaken. The house was everything we hoped and expected it would be - clean, spacious, cool and well equipped. We made several excursions out for the whole day in our 4WD and we also enjoyed cooking on the beach in the evening by the sea. The only downside (not the fault of the house) was that we hadn't quite appreciated that to go to a good supermarket one really needs to go back to Muscat outskirts. The fruit and veg shopping and availability of fresh fish is good in Tiwi and Sur but for meat and other fresh food we were happier making the effort to journey back to Muscat. Apart from that we had a really great time and fully intend visiting Oman again next February.

Excellent, well equipped arabian experience

We are just back from a fantastic 10 days in Oman. We used Fins Beach House as our main base after 2 nights in Muscat and our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. The location is excellent for exploring much of the east coast, Wadis, Desert (2 hours drive), Sink hole or just relaxing on one of the beaches nearby. We were there with two youngish (4 & 6yrs) children and so it was much more relaxing to be in a house than a hotel. We ate mainly in the house or had picnics or evening BBQ on the beach. The house is very clean, well equipped (kitchen, washing machine, BBQ/parasols/chairs etc for the beach, toys/board games, DVD), spacious (garden, dining areas inside and out, charming omani sitting room, 3 beds rooms with en suite), air conditioned. Tips for future visitors: make sure you do a big grocery shop in Muscat or one of the nearby bigger towns before arriving as the local shops are very limited. I would also recommend getting beach shoes as some of beaches have rocky bits and the shoes also good for Wadi Shab. Bring snorkel and masks - lots of few fishes to see. Thanks again to Fawatim & Anthony for wonderful experience - we will definitely be recommendeing to friends and family and hope, one day, to return.

Fantastic home in great location!!

The house and the location far exceeded our expectations. As previous reviewers had mentioned the house was well equipped. We had breakfast, prepared packed lunches and had dinner in the kitchen. The room was large and the bed was comfortable. We used the living room (majlis) to read and played (own) guitar. There were many board games to play if you wish to do so. The house was walking distance to the beach and there were many attrations nearby. Initially we thought that 4 days was too long but there were many more places we wished we had time to visit. In hindsight we should have come straight from muscat airport to the house and stayed longer at the Beach House. The guide book available in the house helped us planned our trips and the information from the owners were very good. Review from our 14 year old son - The night sky was beautiful, especially from the roof terrace. I like the privacy of the house, its like we were the only ones in oman. I enjoyed going to the wadi where the water was crystal clear. My fav spot was Bimmah sinkhole.

We are an Omani / English family and have always enjoyed the ability to move around the world staying in homes rather than hotels. Our house here is the first of its type in Oman. It will probably remain the only one too because building regulations do not permit building in this old style any longer. You will be staying in part of the history of Oman. Originally goats would have lived on the property, but now you will see them wander past the house looking in enviously as they go to graze!

Houses do not come up for sale in Oman often. Normally famillies live in them for many generations passing them down to their children. We wanted a house with space where we could entertain our family and yet have privacy with our own children, hence the beach house outside the old village. This is what we wanted to pass on to our guests from all around the world. Hopefully we will be able to find more properties like this in the future to share. This is an old house we renovated whilst trying to keep the blend between old and new.
