The house has a lot going for it: great views across the lake, lovely deck and sun room for relaxing and loon watching, and a generally attractive layout. This is our second time in the house, with five years between visits. As some of the reviews have stated, some aspects of the accommodation are starting to show signs of advanced wear. At more than $2000 per week, the owners would do well to replace the mattresses, towels, and some of the rugs. These things didn't really harm our stay, but it would have been nice to have a more comfortable environment.
This house isn't appropriate for very young children or people with movement limitations. The steep stairs between the first and second level emerge in the middle of the main floor and are a kind of death trap for little ones. And the lawn to the lake is very, very steep.
With these provisos, we recommend the house.
