Dream beach re-set
This was the perfect, out of the way but still so close, getaway location! The house was very well equipped with everything we could possibly want or need. Getting to it in the dark on the wrong side of the road with donkeys everywhere was an adventure but coming inside felt like home. Our routine was pretty chill for 10 days, We had morning coffee on the beach out front watching the waves and occasional donkey. After stocking up at the IGA we packed lunches and took our rental on an exploration of the island. Lots of hidden gems and wonderful people. Supper was either at the house or at Jack’s Shack, Sandbar or Cakeos Cafe. Movie and games while watching the sunset from the deck. Perfection.
The whole purpose of our trip was to go whale watching with Deep Blue Charters with “our” humpback whales. It did not disappoint! Katharine & Kell know where to go and when. We also went out with Jimmy of Wet Money Enterprises snorkeling and swimming with the sting rays. The snorkelling from shore at every beach was a lot of fun too.
I had to work during our vacation so stable fast internet was a must. Comfy beds, amble towels and a washer/dryer added to the experience of home away from home.
