Absolutely Awful Experience
The Good – Location was good….20 minutes give or take from anything you want to get to at/around Disney. But DON’T stay at this house and DON’T stay at a Nova property – read on.
The Bad – Notice, none of this is a matter of opinion or preference, rather facts: Paid for heated pool and based on Nova Vacation Homes was told it’d be 78-82 degrees in colder months. Upon waking up day 1 there (Saturday), this pool was as cold as the air and no way near the promised temperature. Noticed, too, that the hot tub water level was about 6” too low. And after brushing teeth in the sinks in our bedroom, noticed that sinks would not drain. Placed a call to customer service at Nova at 11:16am to report problem and that we were also looking for the code for the Roku remote to add a channel. Was told they’d relay to property manager. Called again 9:18pm and was told the same thing. No call back on Saturday from anyone. Hot tub level now even lower, just above the jets. Sunday morning 11:27am placed a THIRD call to customer service and was told that maybe I would have better luck getting in touch with the property manager. Really? They gave me his number so I left him a message at 11:30am. Called him again 1:44pm after not hearing back. (meanwhile, in addition to the aforementioned items, we’re out of garbage bags and dishwasher tabs but no one to tell this to). Sometime around 2:30pm Sunday a tech shows up at the house, puts a hose in the pool, turns it on and leaves. Before I could get out to talk to him, he was gone. No call from property manager Sunday so left another vm for him at 8:30pm. Sunday night the pool was REALLY full and the hot tub was filled back up. But the hot tub was no longer hot and the pool was now freezing. Yeah, some pretty sad kids and a useless hot tub and pool (primary reason we booked this place) Monday 12:15pm I placed another call to customer service and was told by Andrew I’d be hearing from a customer service manager. Never happened. I’ll spare you the entire experience post check out, but it includes an owner unwilling to refund a portion of our miserable stay. Do yourself a favor – do not stay at this property OR any vacation home managed by Nova Vacation Homes.
