Excellent stay for three families including six kids (ages 2-12)

We stayed at the Punta 3B property from Dec 24-31 in 2017. The place exceeded our expectations. We had three families and had plenty of room for all of us. The patios outside were amazing, and I honestly think we had the best view in the entire resort: overlooking PV, the ocean and the Grand Luxxe pools. After putting the kids to bed, the adults spent a decent amount of time outside on the patio just relaxing and enjoying the view. Then we got into the habit of watching the beautiful sunrise each morning. We made breakfast each morning and had a nice sized kitchen to do so. The showers were HUGE and the beds were very comfortable. One note: there are actually two units, one with two bedrooms (king and 2 queens) and another with one bedroom (king). They are separate with two unique living rooms, but connecting enough so that it seems like one unit. You will have your own concierge assigned to your floor at the Punta. She was awesome. She helped us book off-resort trips and restaurant reservations. And she went out of the way in doing so. The Vidanta is top-notch. Endless amounts of pools. We spent a couple days going to different pools and each one offers a unique, enjoyable experience. The pool just outside the Punta is exclusive, and only accessible to Grand Luxxe guests and by far was the nicest. We also rented a cabana on the beach for a day. Really affordable and had a nice relaxing beach-day experience. I would admit that the Vidanta feels a bit like Disneyland or a cruise ship where everything is at your disposal. You don't even need to leave the resort during your entire stay. So if you're intending to experience real Mexico, then I would try to get off of the resort for a couple of days. We found the food to be better and more authentic off-resort. But overall, given that we were three families with kids, having everything accessible was a big plus. David was extremely helpful during the entire process. His email response was quick, and we never felt lost. I highly recommend him and his property. I highly recommend.

time of our lives

-family of 6 had a blast -david bain was host and gave emails, details, information that were never misleading and was so very helpful. -one day excursions, restaurants in and out of the resort, pools, shuttles, taxi, massages all covered by David; we arrived informed and ready to enjoy which we did. -his 3 bedroom villa is fabulous and best of all its in the Punta tower so closest to beach, platinum service and special entry to Punta Pool. -we experienced zero surprises, not one negative to share and an ideal vacation that we are booking now for Christmas 18.

Impressive Unit & Property in Ideal Building Location

Being an owner of a Luxxe Grand Master Suite, I knew what to expect of the property. It's amazing and you'll be hard pressed to find a better environment to relax in. The presidential suites reside in their own building (Punta or "Point") at the front of the Luxxe property which makes access to the beach and Luxxe pools extremely easy without using trams provided as this is a huge property. Additionally, the views in many of these presidential units are far better than the other Luxxe, Spa or Residence towers. The Punta building has only 4 floors of presidential suites. Each floor only has 4 suites on it. (two on each side) The top floor seems to be an expansive owner's suite or something. 2 of the 4 units on each floor have exceptional ocean front beach views. The rear unit on the resort pool side on each floor has a great white water view as well but the 4th (on the river side) has a river view and distant PV ocean view. If you look to the side of the building from this unit you can see the river's mouth and some of the pool area. The suite is well appointed and larger than the master suites in the living area. The bedroom and patios are similar in size but the patio is better furnished. You enter the main door into a small hallway that has two other doors. One goes to the main unit with two bedrooms, the living room, kitchen and 2.5 bathrooms. The other door goes to the third bedroom which has it's own living room, bathroom, scaled down kitchen and eating area and it's own patio. It worked great for our teens as it gave them a hang out area of their own. I can't say enough about David the owner. Working with him was a pleasure. He was extremely responsive, very professional and understands the Vida system. This is extremely important because if you don't have the right paperwork and understand the system, your check in will be very difficult. You'll be in good hands renting from David and we plan to talk to him about next year as well.
