La villa è situata su una collina che domina una splendida vista della baia di Kalkan da ogni angolo della proprietà. Al piano terra c'è una piscina circondata da un grande giardino piantumato con aree erbose soleggiate e parti ombreggiate. Il giardino contiene molte piante colorate e ha un albero di ulivo che sovrasta il muro. L'ultimo piano della villa è una terrazza sul tetto che ha anche una splendida vista sul mare e sulle montagne. Può essere usato come zona notte da chi ama dormire sotto le stelle. È a 10 minuti in auto in montagna ea 5 minuti in auto dalla spiaggia. A 15 minuti a piedi giù per la collina vi porta nel villaggio di Kalkan 'assonnato' con molti ristoranti e negozi. Dal villaggio è un ulteriore 5 minuti a piedi dalla baia di Kalkan che ha una spiaggia di ciottoli e offre nuoto eccellente e sicuro. 3 rampe di scale dalla villa sono un piccolo negozio, ristorante e bancarella di frutta e verdura. La spiaggia di sabbia più vicina è Kaputas, utilizzata principalmente dai locali a 10 minuti in auto.

Stay at villa tara

Had a lovely relaxing stay,villa was lovely,i had too days of crazy heavy rain and a bit of water came in and wet rug but not a problem i just hung it outside to dry,dvd player didnt work but no isue either i watched netflix so all in all it was great,i thought i was in heaven and really great that there was some basic provisions there for me on arrival.thankyou so much i would definatly go again

Great views, peaceful area, fab local restuarant Oz pide up a few steps.

We were so looking forward to staying at Tara, we did arrive late and tired and first impressions were not up to our normal standards on the cleanliness in bathrooms and roof top. Windows in the bathrooms were difficult to close to keep out unwanted insects out. The main ensuite was crawling with ants and a number on the bedroom floor, which wasnt pleasant. We managed to eliminated this problem with sprays and it did not happen again during our stay, however should have been sorted before we arrived. We never ventured too far into the second bedroom. When a villa is advertised with having a DVD, not only did this not work, we had to replace all the batteries in the remotes we needed including the TV and CD player. These were eventually sorted when a coaxial cable was supplied, several days into our holiday. Despite the initial teething problems, we finally enjoyed our stay until then the air con in the bedroom wouldnt turn off. We would stay again if the above were put right and checked before arrival/ on a regular basis. The property does require a little TLC but this is reflected in the pricr. .

First family to Kalkan

We stayed for 2 weeks at Villa Tara, as a family of 4. The villa was very near the local supermarkets and we enjoyed our walk up to the them in the morning. We also found a local pizza/Italian restaurant nearby, which was about a 5 minute walk away and the food was very good and reasonably priced. I would suggest getting a taxi into Kalkan town, as some of the hills are very steep and it was very cheap getting a taxi there and back to the villa. We loved spending time by the pool and the gardens are very pretty and we even had a visit from a wild tortoise 🐢 My husband and I loved sitting upstairs on the roof terrace and it would be nice to have some more seating up there. Villa Tara was very comfortable but could do with a little updating but it didn’t affect our holiday there. It was our first visit to Kalkan and we as a family absolutely loved it and will definitely be back.

Our adventure at Villa Tara

Our holiday in kalkan was terrific. Communication with our landlord Jeremy was also very polite and friendly BUT unfortunately we had some problems with Villa Tara. Unfortunately, the villa was only poorly cleaned upon arrival. Furthermore, the water in the sink on the first floor in the toilet didn't drain. So it was not possible to use it. We bought our own pipe free agent to solve the blockage. Unfortunately didn't work. On arrival there was a pathetic and unbearable stench in this toilet. Unfortunately, this was the case for the whole holiday. 5 days before departure, the toilet on the ground floor overflowed with sewage from the other villas. So that the whole toilet and the ground floor also stunk. Last but not least, fitters came on the penultimate day who wanted to dismantle the toilet in order to blow out the sewage pipes with water pressure. There was a risk that the whole ground floor would have been flooded with toilet water. We then prohibited it and asked them to do it after we left. All in all, with a small and significant renovation, it could really be turned into a beautiful Villa Tara. But the owner has to take a few €uros in his hand and start with it.

I am a nutritionist working in the humanitarian aid sector and also a musician (Jazz saxophonist). I bought the property six years ago following an unplanned holiday in Kalkan. I had always wanted a property in the sun but France and Spain were outside of my price range. When I was shown the villa I fell in love with it and Kalkan itself. It brings a smile to my face everytime I think of it. The villa and location are pretty luxurious by my standards.

I don't get over enough and tend to visit mainly out of season as it gets booked up. When I do go I feel relaxed and healthy within a day of being there. It is a great place to unwind but you can also be adventurous and discover beautiful towns and beaches in what is a massive country with a fascinating culture.

I bought the property twelve years ago following an unplanned holiday in Kalkan. I had always wanted a property in the sun but France and Spain were outside of my price range. When I was shown the villa I fell in love with it and Kalkan itself. It brings a smile to my face everytime I think of it. The villa and location are pretty luxurious by my standards. One of the things I really love about the villa and its location is the juxtaposition of mountains and sea. Kalkan is surrounded by high mountains and the juxtaposition is most breath-taking at Kaputas - a local beach used mainly by locals. It is only a 20 minute car journey into the mountains which are snow capped from around November through to April. The coastline with its characteristic turquoise sea colour is so seductive.

I don't get over enough and tend to visit mainly out of season as it gets booked up. When I do go I feel relaxed and healthy within a day of being there. It is a great place to unwind but you can also be adventurous and discover beautiful towns and beaches in what is a massive country with a fascinating culture. I invariably drive to a mountain village every time I am over there and stay a night. Kalkan itself offers all modern comforts, e.g. restaurants, good shops, banks, doctors, etc. However, you can also get away from it completely with a short drive. The villa being on a hill-side feels remote but it is only a five minute drive down the hill to Kalkan town. I have a busy life but the villa is a great antidote to all the stress that builds up.
