Carattere unico abbonda in questa incredibile fattoria immersa nel cuore del parco Adirondack. L'arredamento unico con travi a vista, legno e pietra che ti circonda (anche nella doppia cabina doccia della suite principale e nella grande vasca idromassaggio) ti toglierà il respiro nel momento in cui varchi la porta. La casa è stata creata per intrattenere, ma mantiene anche un'atmosfera calda e accogliente, perfetta per un weekend romantico. La sua grande cucina completamente arredata con una grande sala separata adiacente su un lato del bar per la colazione e una sala da pranzo sull'altro lato, consente di riempire la casa di famiglia e risate, ma è altrettanto comoda per una cena intima per due. Se desideri i grandi spazi aperti, prendi un bicchiere di vino ed esci nel grande portico avvolgente. Goditi la vista spettacolare mentre guardi il sole tramontare su una montagna così vicino che puoi quasi toccarlo. Il gazebo annesso è il luogo ideale in cui gli ospiti possono divertirsi guardando il maestro della griglia del tuo gruppo esibire la sua magia sull'enorme griglia a infrarossi in acciaio inossidabile o rilassarsi nella vasca idromassaggio circondata dalla foresta di pini e betulle. Trout Pond

Trout Pond was an excellent choice! The house was lovely with the right amount of space for our guests. The kitchen was nicely equipped with all the tools necessary for making great meals to share. Everything was clean and the property was lovely with birds singing and a groundhog scavenging for food. Would definitely stay there again.

Christmas Vacation

We had a great time at Trout Pond Retreat which was decorated for the holiday season - such a nice touch. Beds were comfortable & the kitchen was well stocked & spacious. Large high top table in the dining area was great for putting a large jigsaw puzzle together. Approximately 45 minutes to Lake Placid but a very pleasant drive. Only about 25 minutes to Plattsburgh- mall, restaurants & movie theaters. Really nice place to relax - we didn’t use the hot tub since the weather was rainy but would be nice in the Spring - Fall. Also would have been nice to have binds or curtains on the living room windows but other than that the house was perfect for our needs & I would certainly recommend it to family & friends.

Perfect Fall Getaway Location

3 empty nest couples stayed multiple nights in mid-October 2023. Home was perfect for our needs! Having 3 bathrooms was a real plus and the kitchen was stocked with a variety of pots, pans, cookie sheets, utensils, crockpots, dishes, etc. Sheila, the host, was VERY responsive to questions and made us feel special. The beds and pillows were exceptionally comfortable and ruined us for all other bedding for the rest of our vacation throughout NE. Location was remote and peaceful but only 25 minutes from Plattsburgh where you can find anything including a Walmart for groceries. If you are wanting to do any leaf peeping this is a fantastic location! Hope our travels bring us back soon.

Awesome location and home

Spent time up north with family. Didn't want to be in Lake Placid but wanted to be able to go there. Found this beautiful farm house, 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. Was awesome. House was very clean and very spacious. There were 4 couples and a support dog. House was so big, we weren't in each other's space. Outside fire pit was great for a nice way to end each day. Kitchen has everything you will need. Home was nicely decorated for fall and I can only imagine how Shelia will decorate for Christmas! All bedrooms and bathrooms are really a nice size. Awesome having a bedroom downstairs right across from a bathroom. Handicap accessible, great. From this location we visited Whiteface, Lake Placid, Plattsburgh. Nice little restaurant in Wilmington, Rudy's Chalet and plenty of places to shop in Lake Placid, Plattsburgh. And then come back home, which is what this house felt like. Can't go wrong... thank you Sheila for sharing your awesome home! Wills Family

I have had and seen so many great memories here at my home in this location. Through the years of living here family, friends, and even some acquaintances have shared their experience of how this house had so much comfort and a unique feel to it that words just couldn’t describe. I knew my dream needed to become a reality!! This is how and why Trout Pond Retreat was created. And for now, I am living my dream of sharing my home with you to make unforgettable memories of your own. Never give up on your dreams. for ever grateful me.
