Andrew and Alice have been at Anstey Grove Barn for over 40 years, raising a family and running a farm in the heart of rural Hertfordshire. In 1980 they bought a working pig farm with 20 acres of land and began to build a family home. Within months the house was built, and within years a broadleaf wood was planted and wildflower meadow cultivated that have now come to be protected by the Hertfordshire Wildlife Trust. The working pig farm has now gone, but the wood, meadows, flock of free range hens and horses remain. In 2004 Alice and Andrew decided to convert the large Barn at the heart of the farm and create high quality bed and breakfast accommodation. Their intention has always been to provide a homely base from which families, couples and those just passing through can enjoy
